 La sezione è divisa in due categorie. Nella prima sono inserite le foto di tutte le specie che ho avuto modo
di incontrare fino ad oggi, anche quelle che qualitativamente sono al di sotto degli standard di una buona fotografia; mi fa comunque
piacere tenere un elenco di tutti gli avvistamenti e gli incontri che ho avuto, spesso molto più emozionanti della foto stessa. La seconda
categoria contiene invece solo i migliori scatti selezionati dalla prima, e di conseguenza è la parte più strettamente Fotografica.
 The section is splitted into two categories. In the first one I added the photos of all the species I met until today, even the ones that are
below the standards of a good photography; I like anyway to have a list of all the recorded sightings I had, since they are often more exciting than the photo itself.
The second category contains only the best shots taken from the first one, and so it is the more tightly Photographic part.
Eccetto una ventina di foto realizzate
al bioparco di Roma durante una vacanza (e che rappresentano una sorta di inizio a questo genere fotografico), tutte le
foto presenti sul sito sono state scattate in natura in condizioni non controllate e con gli animali allo stato libero. Finora
non ho neppure utilizzato posatoi "artificiali" (cioè rami inseriti nell'ambiente) nè mimetizzazioni particolari, anche
se spero di attrezzarmi al più presto. A questo proposito il famoso fotografo naturalista tedesco Fritz Polking ha proposto
uno schema molto chiaro che ho deciso di adottare per "etichettare" le mie immagini di animali:

[1] Un documento di natura, non modificato nè manipolato: in questo caso lo scatto è stato effettuato senza l'interferenza
del fotografo, mostra la natura così come è.
[2] Selvaggio e controllato: in questo caso il soggetto è selvaggio (non in cattività) ma il fotografo ha interferito nella
scena naturale inserendo per esempio dei posatoi, mangime, o modificandola in qualche altro modo.
[3] In cattività: è usato per i soggetti che non sono allo stato libero o selvaggio (per esempio gli zoo).
[4] Montaggio: usato per tecniche di manipolazione digitale, come ad esempio esposizioni multiple o fotomontaggi.
Except for about twenty photos taken in Rome zoo during a holiday (which represent a sort of beginning in this photographic sector),
all of the images here in the website were taken in nature in not controlled conditions and with the animals wild and free.
Until now I do not even used artificial perch (e.g. branches inserted in the environment) or particular camouflages, even if I
hope to provide myself with what is necessary as soon as possible. Regard this the famous naturalistic photographer Fritz Polking
proposed this labelling scheme which I decide do adopt for labelling my wildlife photographies:
[1] A nature document, not arranged nor manipulated: in this case the picture has been taken without
any interference of the photographer: it shows the nature as it is.
[2] Wild and controlled: in this case the subject is wild (not captive) but the photographer, however,
interfered in the scene such as using feeders or arranging the picture scene in any manner.
[3] Captive: is used for subjects, which don't live free or wild (e.g. zoo, game-farm).
[4] Montage: used for digital manipulation technique, multiple exposure or sandwich technique.
